Brooklyn’s Sweetheart Deborah Needs Our Help!

Hi, this GoFundMe was started to help our beloved coworker Deborah. In 2020, due to the pandemic and the housing crisis that ensued, Deborah was forced out of her apartment of over 22 years. Since then, she has dealt with a series of tragic life events and is now left without safe or stable housing at 62 years old. As of January 15, 2023, Deborah will be unhoused.

Deborah works full-time with us at a restaurant in Brooklyn, and is the kindest and hardest working person in the building. On top of that, Deborah works 7 days a week at a crisis line for victims of sexual assault. Despite how hard she works, she has been unable to secure stable housing for herself.

With your donation, we can help Deborah get a roof over her head in the near-term, while she finds an apartment she can live in long-term and finally experience some rest.

These funds will be used to:

- secure immediate short term housing (hotel, air bnb, sublet etc.)

- pay for first month's rent/security deposit/potential brokers' fee for long-term housing

- provide relief for the immense stress Deborah has been under through this transitional period
