Brooklyn Paws Foundation Fundraiser

2023 is the year we are going BIG!! WHY? Because the bigger the goal the bigger the opportunity to do BIGGER THINGS!!! and the animals we help are waiting on us and our help. I naturally hesitated to aim that high, but then it occurred to me, WHY NOT? If we can't help, who will... but as I always say, we always need help... so for those who already donated, THAN YOU ... and no shame is asking to donate again, and please SHARE SHARE SHARE.... it does make a difference. We are off to a great start already with Lord McAshton finding his new forever home!!

My name is Justine and I am the founder of the Brooklyn Paws Foundation Inc. We are still waiting for our not for profit status but the work can not wait. Our goal is to provide services to as many animals with paws no matter what size but this fundraiser is specific to cats and kittens of Brooklyn and Staten Island. Spring is almost here knocking on our door and so is kitten season that we need to get ahead of. 

 

Daily, there are kittens born on the mean streets of New York and are left to fend for themselves. Their mothers often are still young cats that didn't get fixed and often have multiple litters per year until someone steps in to trap them and fix them. If the cats are feral, they need to be released back outside after they are spayed / neutered as living inside is too stressful for them.... however there are exceptions, and those cats are the ones that we try to find homes for. Sometimes the cats that are trapped are pets that were dumped by people who no longer wanted, or could not take care of them... or they are lost pets.

The goal is to limit the population by eliminating the possibility of reproduction and to get as many friendly cats off the streets. Also, we make sure they get their vaccinations, checked out by the vet for any health issues and are microchipped to be able to keep track of cats that we helped. 

 

We also have space to provide for the cats that are vetted and need time to recover after getting fixed, or to help them recover from any other illness or injury they face.

We have access to a space but that also take $$$... if we can find enough financial support to help us tackle the kitten and cat issue ... it will allow for us to do even more of this much needed work.
