Brooklyn Superstars FC - Fundraiser

Blessed Love. Here we find ourselves again, raising funds for community football team projects in Brooklyn, Cape Town, SA.

 

Since our last fundraiser, the Brooklyn Stars developed to their capacity and then made a political and ethical decision to amalgamate with some other local teams to form a more professional, community oriented football team; the Brooklyn Superstars FC. This new and improved team and is manned by a dedicated executive committee, with a board of members from coach to chairman. The team is now much better prepared to undergo ventures into bigger leagues, tournaments and other such events to bring great opportunities to the lives of its players and their families.

 

The executive committee is planning an end-of-year function that will take place on Saturday 11th December 2021. This function will be in celebration of this year's achievements and will see players awarded for their hard-work and dedication thus far.

 

For those that are unaware, we here in England have always raised funds or paid out of our own pockets for extra costs around match-days and other events. This costs tend to cover travel expenses (coaches for the players), food and catering and whatever else constitutes and supports the well-being of our players and their ability to attend matches and display their dedication.

 

Executive Board of the Brooklyn Superstars FC have humbly asked for our support in raising £250 (British Pounds) to cover coach/travel expenses + food expenses for the end-of-year function. Typically and historically, the money for events costs would come out of the pocket of the Chairman, his charity organization or straight out of our pockets here in England. However, in this instance, the Chairman was only able to cover the cost of the venue and such surrounding and we have been caught at a bad time, financially, here in England.  - Therefore, we humbly ask for the support of our international community in raising the correct amount of funds to support this venture!

 

As is evident, we only have a few days to raise the money but we are confident in the providence of the Almighty and His ability to make wonders happen. That being said, we give the utmost thanks for all donations and also to those who simply share the fund-raiser in support of the cause.
