Brooklynn Moore's Family Care Fund

My precious daughter, Brooklynn Nicole Moore from Sarasota, Florida suffered a tragic accident in NYC and was put on life support on February 1, 2023. I received the call that is considered every parent's worse nightmare, only this traumatic story has so many unanswered questions. It has been surreal beyond words!

Before we go any further, let me just answer the question so many of you have asked me and are probably thinking if you haven't asked. No, she did not "overdose on drugs" although, even if she had, she is my only child and I love her unconditionally and beyond imagination.

The happiest day of my life was giving birth to this beautiful human.

We don't know exactly what happened. We have clues, but the details remain a mystery. There is a pending investigation. Frustratingly, we wont even have access to her full medical records until after she passes. We do know that she was found unresponsive by paramedics after an anonymous 911 call. Sadly, whomever who was with her that night could have saved her life, but instead they left her to die on a cold sidewalk in Brooklyn (a sad irony). Had the people she was with administered CPR or called 911 sooner, she would have been fine. Instead, my daughter had no oxygen to her brain for an unknown period of time. So, there is significant brain damage. However, she is not brain dead and her organs are perfectly healthy. That is what breaks my heart. The NYPD eventually discovered her name and we were notified and told that Brooke was on life support.

After much thought and debate, I flew Brook's 9 year-old daughter, Mia, to New York to see her mommy hooked up to machines with horns and bells going off non-stop which was hard to take. She had to remain on life support. I had to make the gut-wrenching decision to fly back to Sarasota so that Mia could resume school. That trip alone took my entire paycheck. I had to go back to work to make money to be able to get back to my daughter all while our family car broke down.

Since I couldn't stay with Brooklynn, my brother offered to fly up and stay with her. He called me to say that her condition had not improved and that the hospital needed to discharge her to a nursing home within days if we chose to keep her on life support. So, I arranged for Mia to stay with dear friends and bought another last-minute plane ticket.

I joined my brother in New York. Day after day went by along with mpre hotel expenses etc.

We decided to take my daughter off of life support after tje doctors told us that she will never recover. We had all been praying for that miracle that somehow the Doctors were wrong and she would somehow recover but thr miracle of improvement never came..

So after a very long journey we contine to stay by her side. My brother will be taking her home so that we can prepare her funeral which is to come.

The purpose of asking for help is because we are in NY trying to figure it out with lodging, food etc. We are accruing thousands of dollars in debt because we want to stay with hee until the end of her life so that she is not alone and we can guard her care. I do want to get back on tje plane until I know she goes with God. My brother will be bring her remains home which means more hotels, ubering and of course preparing for her to come back to Florida. We are asking for a wee little help to mostly help Scott stay here and take her home. We thank each of you in advance and please continue to pray for my family and especially Mia and Nolan, her precious children, my grandchildren. May my beautiful daughter be at peace in her eternal life when she passes. We will miss her terribly but we know she will rest in eternal peace in Gods loving arms.
