Brooks Anderson Medical Expenses Fund

We all know medical bills, hospital stays and time off work adds up when caring for a sick family member. Josh and Ashlyn are always willing to go above and beyond to help anyone in need, so let’s help them by lessening the financial burden. If you are unable to help financially we ask that you keep baby Brooks and the family in your prayers.

First off Josh and I want to say thank you for your many messages and prayers, we appreciate them beyond belief.

A little of what is going on. As a mom (and a nurse) I started to notice that Brooks was not urinating properly & he was retaining fluid. We came to Childrens and he was diagnosed with a Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). Upon ultrasound the found a mass at the base of his bladder. At this time, they are saying (without biopsy yet) that it is a Rhabdomyosarcoma (a type of cancer) This is blocking him from urinating properly which is what caused the AKI. The AKI is slowly correcting itself.

For now we are praying for the AKI to resolve so they can do the needed testing to do a biopsy to confirm a diagnosis to be able to get a treatment plan. Brooks is just 12 days old and every doctor we have been in contact with has said they have never ever seen this in a baby so young. Therefore, a lot of answers are in the air as far as treatment & biopsy due to his age and the equipment available to do a biopsy.

Pray for the sister girls at home who have no idea what is going on.

Pray for Josh and I as this is the most hard thing we have ever encountered.

Pray for his doctors and nurses. Pray for a diagnosis to be made to start on a treatment plan.
