In 2010, I joined a brotherhood at Rowan University in New Jersey. We learned many life skills throughout our time joining this brotherhood, Sigma Pi. We learned the general aspects of caring, friendships, loyalty, and above all others, helping a Brother when they are down.
The story starts at Rowan University when I met Danny Kin who is still one of my best friends, sharing moments even when we haven't seen each other for some time. Trusting one another, even though we don't get to talk all the time, basically what a true friendship is.
This past weekend, Connor, who is part of our core group decided to throw a poker game, which gives us the opportunity to all catch up since the last time we were all together.
As we were in the middle of the poker game, and just talking with one another, Danny broke some news to the entire table. He explained that his mother was diagnosed with 3 different types of cancers.
Not only is it difficult to support a loved one who is going through something like this, in addition a lot of extra responsibilities come along, this fundraiser will help with paying bills, and will give Danny more time to spend with his family,
As a group that always wants to help those we care about, we want to take this opportunity to ask for any support that is possible to help with supporting this selfless friend.
