The brotherhood foundation at what it stands for. As some of you may be well aware we lost a very dear friend this year that was a devastating blow to us as friends but also to the community we belong too. Until this point some of us may never have needed to use a defibrillator or even have spoken about one, as always the way was “were too young to need it” but unfortunately this was very untrue and many of you may know recently the use for one is needed a lot more around the communities for young and old people. One of the main things we want to bring out of this situation is to help the communities around Peterborough is to not have to suffer in the way we have and focus ourselves on doing something great for the future. We have decided to set up this foundation in loving memory of Glenn Boocock and would like to honour him in the best way his mates, family and brothers can. We want to raise money for defibrillators around Peterborough for pubs and local clubs as we all know everyone can’t name a street but they can name a pub. We will start around our local community of Werrington, Walton area and we will proceed to help others in the future. We will set up local events raise money from local businesses and make sure the brotherhood foundation can offer courses for the use of one of these machines as well with help from our local services. Glenns trade and business was electrical so to help the fund succeed Electri Heat Ltd will do the labour and fit for each one we install to ensure his presence is there at all times. We aim to raise money for now through a go fund me page but will soon be set up with a legitimate charity name, number and look to expand in the future. THANKS THE BROTHERHOOD FOUNDATION. IN LOVING MEMORY OF GLENN BOOCOCK xxx
Added information for the donors of this cause and the people supporting us,
my name is Aaron Parker and i'm the steward of the parkway sports and social club peterborough.
myself and the other members of the team are Jamie Harrison Gavin Harrison Daniel Woods are all friends of Glenn Boocock and this is why the charity is being set up. we are raising funds around the peterborough area for defibrillators to be fitted publicly on the side of pubs and clubs in the local community as they are good points for remembering to get to.
As we have now raised over the specific £5000 mark we are now registering as a charity and the paperwork is now in transit so as soon as we can we will give you the number and show we are stated formally and professionally.
we will be buying 2 defibrillators in the next few weeks when we can withdraw the funds and we will be installing the first before Saturday 16th November at The limetree Pub, Walton where we will be having a local football game and a fundraising day to add to the money raising we are already doing so well on with your help.
The funds will be withdrawn into a bank account that is solely being used for this purpose and we will be paying everything over the internet with paper trails and have also got an accountant on board to make sure it is all above board. we also have committee members in place for when the charity is set up and we will post all the updates as we go along.
Thanks The Team
