Broughman Memorial Fund

Our community has lost a beautiful mother, wife, daughter, and sister; a member of Chatham’s Titan family. Elyn Broughman passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2020 as a result of health complications, leaving behind family who was not yet prepared to say good-bye. Elyn, and her husband, John, are the parents of Zane (Junior at GHS), Jonah (7th at GMS), and Elyson(3rd at GES). While Elyn had been employed by Springfield Clinic and Memorial Medical Center, she had reduced her work availability due to health issues. As a result, her employer-sponsored life insurance policy was terminated unbeknownst to the family, leaving details in the fine print.

We understand that times are very uncertain, unstable, and financially difficult for many families at this time. Any contribution that you can make will be appreciated as John himself is facing economic loss through the COVID-19 closures at present. Funds raised will go directly to the family to meet their current needs and expenses, with any additional funds being set aside for the children’s educational needs.
