Brubach Family
Donation protected
Hi, we are Emily and Angela. We have known and loved the Brubach family for many years. Stephanie has become one of our greatest and closest friends, she is like a sister to us.
Stephanie is currently fighting for her life. She has been diagnosed with autoimmune Hepatitis with necrosis of the liver and needs a live liver donor ASAP. She is currently admitted to UW Medical Center in Seattle and will remain there until her transplant due to the complexity of her condition. The doctors are struggling to keep her blood sugars and blood pressure stabilized, even while hospitalized and they do not believe it can be controlled if released from the hospital.
Stephanie is married, has a 2 1/2 year old son, and 7 month old twin boys. She is also the primary caregiver of her elderly mother who has Dementia. She is unable to work due to the 3 boys, under 3, and her mother. Kyle, her husband, is the primary breadwinner for the family. They currently live in Winlock, WA (100+ miles South of Seattle) and Stephanie is receiving treatment at UW Hospital in Seattle. This has been an incredible hardship on the entire family, including Stephanie. Kyle needs to stay near home in order to continue working. He is not currently eligible for FMLA as he just used his FMLA leave when the twins were born.
We are raising money to help cover the families expenses. These include but are not limited to: moving her family closer to the hospital while she is admitted, living close to the hospital post-transplant (as she needs to be within a 1 hour drive of the hospital for follow up care twice a week for 4 months), and other financial needs they may run into pre and post-transplant life.
