Bruce Granger Update Tuesday PM 6/27  We are overjoyed to share — today is the day Bruce woke up!!! He is alert, beginning to track cognitively, and off the ventilator. His breathing tube is gone! PTL! He is responding to requests and questions by moving his head, fingers and toes. His body and motor control is extremely weak but the big news of the day is simply HE WOKE UP, friends.  We give all glory and praise to The Almighty Healer Bruce’s wife, Robbi has to leave tomorrow to return to Chicago and we prayed she could see his eyes open before she had to leave. So God….❤️✝️  Bruce’s oldest sister, Kathy is flying in from Dallas tonight and will take the next shift for a couple of weeks or until Robbi can return.  Bruce is certainly a determined human and we have no doubt his lengthy rehabilitation will require this. We so appreciate your prayers, support and reminders of how special Bruce really is to so many.  Let his healing story remind you—miracles, big and small, surround us every day❤️ We began this GoFundMe account to help support my brother, Bruce and his wife, Robbi in the midst of their crisis. On June 17, 2023 Bruce was involved in an accident while on an Alaska motorcycle trip. Bruce was airlifted via jet to Anchorage on June 19 for a higher level of trauma care where he has remained. While it was initially believed his broken bones would be the major healing component, this unfortunately has not been the case. There is internal trauma that has led to severe sepsis which is quite serious. He is on a ventilator for breathing support and currently sedated. They will be evaluating his other systems status as they bring him out of sedation. Each day brings new medical challenges, some quite serious and multiple surgeries are ahead. This fight will be a marathon for Bruce and his family. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to help keep loved ones by Bruce’s side through this journey. Costs for Alaska flights, lodging, food and other misc expenses in the coming weeks and months will be monumental. Additionally, unknown future medical bills are looming. Asking for help is very humbling. We appreciate the outpouring of love, prayer and support for Bruce and his entire family during this time. Thank you for giving.
