Bruce Matthews Memorial

Bruce Matthews lost his fight with Covid-19 on Tuesday, December 21st, 2021. Bruce left behind his loving wife, Melinda 'Mim' Matthews, his son Brandon Matthews, his daughter Jessica Kennedy (Vic), two grandchildren who he adored, and several family members and friends. Due to the holiday and covid concerns, there will not be funeral services at this time. However, there will be a celebration of his life planned at a later date, to be determined. In lieu of flowers or donations to a specific charity, Bruce's family has asked me to set up this fundraiser so that we can send a catered lunch to the nurses and staff on the covid and ICU floors at Butler Memorial Hospital to show our immense gratitude for all of their hard work and support. We plan to send something regardless of what is raised here, so we don't want anyone to feel obligated to donate. We were getting a lot of requests for where to send flowers, etc., so we wanted to make sure there was an outlet for anyone who knew and loved Bruce and would like a way to honor his memory. If donations exceed the amount needed for catering, any remaining funds will be put into a savings account for his grandchildren.
