Bruce Ohr is a career public servant who for thirty years prosecuted organized crime cases for the Justice Department. He served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, the Chief of the Organized Crime and Racketeering Section at Main Justice, and the Director of the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Forces, among other roles. His career spanned multiple Administrations of both parties, and he was proud to be numbered among the dedicated ranks of federal law enforcement.
In 2016 Bruce received alarming intelligence about possible Russian attempts to penetrate the Trump presidential campaign. He promptly reported the information to the FBI, and continued to do so as he received more information over the next year. For doing what he thought was his civic duty, he and his family have been attacked by the President and his allies in Congress and the news media for the past three years, demanding that he be fired from the Justice Department. Finally, in September of 2020, he was forced to retire.
Bruce and his family have been forced to defend themselves and appear to testify over a dozen times before Congress and Justice Department components. They have been treated as a political football to be kicked whenever the President felt a need to charge up his base. Inevitably, they have incurred large legal bills.
Nellie and I are incredibly grateful for your generous help and words of support. We wanted to send a special message of thanks to all of my fellow Oak Ridgers out there. You guys rock! Roll Wildcats!
