Bruce's Beach Education Foundation & Students

Tax deductible
Want to join me, Mitch Ward former mayor of Manhattan Beach, in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Bruce's Beach Education Foundation (BBEF), a 501c charity, and any donation will significantly make an impact. Please help us to raise funds to bring minority and impoverished kids to Bruce's Beach Manhattan Beach so that each can learn about the history of Bruce's Beach. Thanks in advance for contributing to this cause that means so much to these kids. They learn about Bruce's Beach, founded in 1912, how a Black family lost this same beach land in Manhattan Beach in 1924, how the land was officially recognized as Bruce's Beach in 2006 by the City of Manhattan Beach, then how the Bruce family descendants got Bruce's Beach back in 2022.

The Bruce's Beach Education Foundation evolved from the Manhattan Beach Youth Recognition Award, started in 2004 by the Manhattan Beach City Council under the leadership and the initiation of Councilmember Mitch Ward. The Bruce's Beach Education Foundation, as did the MBYRA, recognizes and supports poor, distressed or underprivileged people pursuing educational goals, information technology careers, ocean awareness, and those who are creating actions within a community to achieve equality and diminish racism. The contributions you donate go toward higher education and vocation-focused scholarships for in-need students and to fund school-partnered educational field trips that teach students about Black and other minorities' rich history in California.
