Bruce's BMX Battle
Donation protected
For Bruce Moore life has been about motorbikes, and racing anything with two wheels and an engine. As the years were getting on and family dynamics growing, he made the decision to start the sport with two wheels minus the motor.
This was seen to be the safer sport whilst meeting his adrenaline needs, it also enabled him to do the sport with his family joining in.
In a cruel twist of fate on Tuesday 16th February 2016 whilst riding in a club event at the newly constructed Bathurst BMX track, Bruce had an horrific accident resulting in broken ribs, broken sternum and tragically a complete severing of the spinal cord (level T6) which has left him permanently paralysed from his chest down.
Bruce and his family of 5 have a long road ahead of them with 6 months of hospital/rehab stay in Sydney before returning home . Whilst they are currently focused on maintaining their truly inspiring positive attitudes, will and determination the reality of the huge financial burden they will face is fast approaching.
It is here we seek the support of the community and their generosity to contribute financially which will enable Bruce and his family to start rebuilding their lives. No matter the amount, it will be welcomed with a smile and a thank you.
We thank you for taking the time to read this.
