Bruno’s IVDD Surgery

To whomever this may reach, thank you for taking the time to read our story. My name is Diana and I am trying to raise funds to cover Bruno’s IVDD surgery bill.

 

IVDD stands for Intervertebral Disc Disease which is the degeneration of discs between the joints of the spine; a disease very common in this type of breed.

 

On Saturday morning Bruno woke up completely paralyzed from his back legs, he couldn’t move them and was in a lot of pain. I immediately took him to the vet and he was admitted to the hospital where he stayed until Tuesday. That day the doctors told me his condition was getting worse and there was nothing they could do but make him comfortable and wait for him to die. So I rushed him to Vet Specialty Hospital in San Marcos where an MRI was performed and demonstrated spinal cord compression between the L5 and L6 vertebrae, consistent with a herniated disc. Emergency surgery had to be performed and he continued to be hospitalized for two more nights for post-operative pain and supportive care.

However, the MRI and the surgery total are $9,000.00 Dlls, as a college student, my resources are limited so we would appreciate any contribution to support Bruno’s surgery bill and rehabilitation journey.
