The Brunswick Police Department realize that life presents many temptations and obstacles that often hinder youth from developing to their full potential.The members of the department seek to provide innovative and effective programs for the City’s youth. The BPD Summer Youth Camp, is such a program. It is designed to establish a positive relationship between the Police Department and the City’s youth.
The goals of the camp are:
To enhance responsible citizenship.
To provide positive interaction with police officers and to educate young people between the ages of 11-14 about the challenges and responsibility of police work.
The camp is designed to reinforce teamwork, respect, self confidence and other valuable life skills.
Funding:
Due to the demand of the program additional slots were added that exceeded current funding. Please contribute to such a worthy cause. Meals, t-shirts, hats, and field trips will be provided. We ask that all donations be by June 1, 2015. No contribution is too small.
Camp Dates:
June 8-19, 2015 and July 13-24, 2015
