Hi, My name is Angie; I am trying to raise money to help pay for living expenses due to medical hardship. Greeneville, South Carolina, due to someone running him off the road and then something on the front of the truck broke, which caused him to lose control of the truck. He ended up in the trees because of the person that he is. He didn't want anyone hurt, so he put his life before everyone else and just about lost his life. He only drove part-time for the extra money to help support his family. He has operated a truck for over 30 years and was an excellent driver. Never a ticket, no violations, no wrecks in his truck driving career. He was always on time with his deliveries and had his TWIC and hazmat endorsement. He was on life support for over two weeks; his body is broken up pretty bad ( broken and separated his neck, three spinal fractures, 2-8 ribs on his right side, one on the left, and collapsed lungs, which caused him to have phnemonia, broke shoulder blade) they didn't expect him to pull through this ungodly accident. Again he was on life support for more than two weeks and began to start breathing on his own with help from a high-flow oxygen machine; he was fed through a tube and has lost 29 lbs. they also thought he might be paralyzed and might have some brain damage. He still has a long way to go to fully recover if he recovers fully at all. he has to have around the clock care , assistance doing everything . He is still very weak, and in sever pain from his injuries. I have had to take time off from work ( unpaid leave ) to be at his side to care for him, and I am not sure if I still have a job. The company he was driving for and had been off and on for 20+ years is not helping with any medical or anything financially; in the beginning, they have said insurance would only pay 5000 on medical bills, but now they are saying insurance wasn't going to pay anything because there wasn't any. We have never been people to ask anyone for anything and have always tried to help others throughout life. We have had to swallow our pride and ask for much-needed helsband to be here; with God's good grace, he is getting his strength back slowly. Wwill be greatly appreciated.
