WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

This past week, hurricane Ian changed the landscape and the lives of many people in Florida; Bryan and Lynn Schneider are two of those individuals directly impacted by the fury of Ian. They lost their entire home, the home they worked hard for and retired to 5 years ago in St. James / Pine Island, FL.

We know many of you desire to help but cannot physically venture down to South Florida to do so but are willing to donate funds. This is exactly why this Go Fund Me Page has been created to help them. Most of us have never lost our homes, and it’s hard to imagine what that looks or feels like.

They will need to clear out, rebuild, pay in the interim for their campground rental, purchase tools, gas, food etc.

To answer some of your questions:

• They (like many others) did not have homeowners’ insurance; because the island is below sea level, no insurance companies write policies for floods or hurricanes, so any loss is a complete loss.

• Currently, the only way to their location is by boat (they are utilizing their son’s john boat). Bridges to the island are washed out.

• They have their cars

• Currently, there is no limit to the amount requested as many funds will be needed.

These funds will ultimately be used to aid and assist the Schneider family. The greatest gift you can give to another human being is the gift of charity! Charity is the pure love of God!
