Our dad was diagnosed with coronary artery disease in June 2018. He was rushed to St. Anthony's North and was immediately put under to have 5 stints put in. His heart was only functioning at 20 % . The surgeries were a success ( had to go under twice) and we began the road to recovery and eventually worked his heart to 40%. He finished his rehabilitation not too long after with with Colorado Heart and Vascular. Fast forward to Saturday 1/19, he collapsed unexpectedly at a family wedding. Luckily we were in the presence of trained medical personal who were able to quickly jump in with CPR and resuscitate him after his heart stoped beating. Flight for Life was called out to bring him to the University of Colorado hospital in Aurora, CO.
