If you were lucky enough to get to know Bryan Herzog, then you truly know the definition of dedication. Bryan was 100% dedicated to everything he ever did: his community, the Army, and most of all, his family.

Bryan was a pillar of our community. He served as a Cub Scout den leader, ensuring that his boys and other scouts had the same opportunities he did when he was a kid. As an Eagle Scout himself, Bryan knew how valuable those opportunities were in his life and will be to his sons. As an assistant baseball and soccer coach, Bryan pushed his kids and their teammates to elevate their skills and do their best. While he was there for his own kids, Bryan wanted to help them all.

As for the Army, most of us know that Bryan had just made Command and planned to move with his family to Hawaii in Spring 2024. He worked toward this goal for 18 years in his career and finally made it. We all know it was a hard decision to leave this community they had built around them and to leave so many friends.

Most of all, Bryan loved his family and did everything he could to be with them as much as possible. As he strived for the best for himself, he did the same for his family: pushing them to strive for the best for themselves. Bryan often went out with his kids to pitch buckets of balls to help them hit that in-field homerun or drilling for the next soccer game. Almost every weekend he got, Bryan took his family somewhere to make memories and give them new experiences. Our thoughts, prayers, and support go out to Jenni, Roen, Maddox, Logan, and Patton as they navigate their lives without their biggest cheerleader.

Our hearts are all broken as we try to comprehend the loss of such a truly amazing and special person.

If you feel inclined, please make a donation - I'd like to provide the family with some financial support for this unforeseen situation.

Please see Bryan's Tribute for viewing and service information.

We love you immensely Bryan. And you are so missed already.
