Bryan Vasquez Arellanes

This fundraiser is in loving memory of our coworker, Bryan Vasquez Arellanes.

Bryan was an amazing young man whose life was tragically cut short at the age of 22 in a car accident on Monday, August 21, 2023. Bryan moved to the United States from Mexico in 2019 to create a better life for himself and his family. He did not speak English when he arrived but worked extremely hard starting out as a dishwasher and working his way up to become one of our most valuable, patient, talented and hard-working cooks. He worked at Il Forno Classico at night and at Pizzeria Classico during the day. Bryan did all of this while learning to speak English in a matter of months. He had big dreams and the ambition to make them come true. He and two of his brothers, Antonio and Bladimir were living together in the Sacramento area. His younger brother Bladimir, is planning on honoring Bryan by following in his footsteps and fulfilling his brother’s dreams in his own young life.

It is our hope that we can help lift the weight of the financial impact his loss is having on Bryan’s immediate family. Money raised will help to pay for the funeral expenses and also help with living and travel expenses. Bryan’s remains will be brought back to Mexico, where he will be laid to rest. We want his family to be able to grieve the unimaginable loss of their beloved brother, son, nephew without the added weight of the financial burden. En memoria de nuestro compañero de trabajo, Bryan Vasquez Arellanes.

Bryan era un joven increíble cuya vida quedó trágicamente truncada a la edad de 22 años en un accidente automovilístico el lunes 21 de agosto de 2023. Bryan se mudó a los Estados Unidos desde México en 2019 para crear una vida mejor para él y su familia desde él. No hablaba inglés cuando llegó, pero trabajó muy duro comenzando como lavaplatos y ascendiendo hasta convertirse en uno de nuestros cocineros más valiosos, pacientes, talentosos y trabajadores. Trabajaba en Il Forno Classico de noche y en Pizzeria Classico de día. Hizo todo esto mientras aprendía a hablar inglés en cuestión de meses. Tenía grandes sueños y la ambición de hacerlos realidad. Él y dos de sus hermanos, Antonio y Bladimir, vivían juntos en el área de Sacramento. Su hermano menor, Bladimir, planea honrar a su hermano siguiendo sus pasos y cumpliendo los sueños de Bryan sobre él en su propia vida.

Tenemos la esperanza de poder ayudar a aliviar el peso del impacto financiero que su pérdida está teniendo en su familia inmediata. El dinero recaudado ayudará a pagar los gastos del funeral y también ayudará con los gastos de manutención y viaje. Los restos de Bryan serán llevados de regreso a México, donde será sepultado. Queremos que su familia pueda llorar la pérdida inimaginable de su amado hermano, hijo y sobrino sin el peso adicional de la carga financiera.
