Bryant Adoption Fund

Hi friends! My name is Kelsey Bryant. My husband’s name is Hunter Bryant. Hunter and I are so so excited to announce that we are starting our adoption journey! A lot of our friends and family know our story, but just in case you don’t:
When I was 19-years-old, I was diagnosed with chronic stage 4 endometriosis. Since then, I have had 3 surgeries to remove endometriosis growth, cysts, and ovarian fibroids. For years, I was placed on numerous medications, supplements, birth controls, and more to suppress my symptoms. I endured excruciating pain, became extremely anemic from excessive blood loss, and gained 97 pounds in one year due to hormone imbalances. I experienced extreme depression about my medical condition and infertility journey. Hunter and I have been unable to get pregnant since March of 2021. In July of 2023, I had surgery and my right ovary and fallopian tube were removed due to excessive damage and scar tissue from endometriosis. In September of 2023, our fertility specialists told us it would not be possible for me to conceive biological children naturally. We explored our fertility options and began the process of saving money to try those options. However, the severity of my condition did not allow for that to happen. In June of 2024, I had a complete hysterectomy at age 24 due to excessive, unrecoverable damage from my endometriosis. I am so extremely grateful to the Lord for placing my husband in my life at 18-years-old. I am so lucky to have had him stand by my side, advocating for my health, supporting all decisions made, and holding my hand throughout this journey. He is truly one of a kind, and I could not have made it this far without him.
Since 2019 when I received my diagnosis, the Lord laid adoption on our hearts. We were only one year into dating, we were both so young (me age 19, Hunter age 21). We had no idea what the future held for us, but Hunter committed to staying by my side through it all. We got engaged in 2020 and married in 2021, and ever since, we have told many of our friends and family that adoption was always part of our plan. Over the past year, since my ovary and tube removal in July 2023, and especially since September 2023, we have grieved the fact that we will not be able to have biological children. And after much prayer, Hunter and I have decided that we would like to start the fundraising portion of our adoption process.
Unfortunately, as many know, adoption comes with a pretty hefty price tag. Asking for money/donations is uncomfortable for us, but we know we cannot do this without the support of our friends and family. We know that the Lord will provide as He has brought us to this position so with that being said…. After sharing with several friends, we’ve been encouraged to start fundraising for adoption. Throughout this process, we want to be as open and honest as possible with all of our supporters. At this time, our current status in the process is praying over and researching which agency/adoption lawyer is the best fit for us. We have no yet committed to the home study process and have no yet spoken with any social workers. Due to the costs involved with the adoption process, we are strictly fundraising at this time and will keep our friends and family updated as we move forward.
As we move throughout this process, we ask that you be in prayer for the following things:
• Please pray for the Lord’s guidance and discernment as we navigate this adoption process
• Please pray that the Lord makes it evident concerning which adoption route we should choose
• Please pray for a healthy pregnancy and delivery for our future baby
• Please pray for our future baby’s birth mother - while the day we meet our baby will be one of the happiest days for us, we know it will be a day of grief and sadness for her. Please pray for her and her family members as they make these hard decisions.
At this time, we have a few different fundraisers! This is our Go Fund Me. We also have different fundraisers going on my Facebook page where I have posted and explaining our ‘Be a Piece of the Puzzle’ fundraiser, and where I am accepting orders for chunky knit blankets, hand-knitted by me, until November 2024.
We want to thank anyone in advance who decides to donate and be a part of our journey. We could not do this without your support!
Again, we are so grateful for all of our friends and family who have supported us thus far and who continue to support us! We are excited to begin this journey. We can’t wait to bring home sweet baby Bryant in the future!
