Bryant Walker - Hurricane Support Fund

My name is Michael Murphy, and I am here in support of a lifelong friend of over fifty (50) years, Bryant Walker. As I'm sure most of you did, I watched in horror and pain last week, as Laura, one of the strongest hurricanes in recent times, tore a path through (among other places), Lake Charles, Louisiana. Unfortunately, Lake Charles, is where my friend Bryant lives. At least it was, until he lost everything but the clothes on his back, as a result to the terrible destruction and aftermath of the storm.
Lake Charles Mayor Nic Hunter described the scene in his town early Thursday morning: “This has turned out for the city of Lake Charles to be a catastrophic wind event,” Hunter told The Weather Channel. “I’m looking out my window and I see buildings in downtown Lake Charles that look like Swiss cheese. I see a TV tower that’s collapsed. I see literal entire facades of buildings that are blown off, not just windows. First floor of city hall, the entire first floor walls are basically just blown apart. This is a major event.” Hunter said the wind damage from Hurricane Laura was worse than that of Hurricane Rita in 2005.
As all of the people, whose stories are told here on Go Fund me, I know Bryant's prayers would be answered, if somehow the clocks could be turned back, and the tragic storm would somehow end up missing his town and home completely. Unfortunately, life doesn't work that way. However, what we all can hopefully do, is help ease and mitigate some of the pain and struggles, that Bryant will undoubtedly be experiencing over the next few weeks and months, as he tries to rebuild some semblance of his previous life.
For those of you who know Bryant, you know that he is a man of great pride, conviction and spirit. Therefore, it is with great humility, that I ask anyone who has the means (no matter what amount), to please help a dear and deserving friend, in his greatest time of need.
Thank you all and God Bless
