Bryce Lomas Battle with Leukemia
Donation protected
First, I want to thank you for taking the time opening this message and reading it. My name is Joseph and I found out on November 6th the heart breaking news that my 14 year old nephew is diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML.) AML is a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow with excess immature white blood cells. AML progresses rapidly, with myeloid cells interfering with the productions of normal white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets. He will be undergoing constant transfusions of blood and platelets to keep him alive. This treatment can open up opportunities for children who are diagnosed and suffering from AML as Bryce is signed up with biobanking, research that can help children diagnosed with this illness.
My sister, Alicia, who is a single mother of two boys, will now be spending 6 months or so of her time in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital as my nephew undergoes chemotherapy treatment. His life is forever changed, as he will not be able to resume his teenage life in school, enjoy his favorite activities such as riding his bike, and spending time with his younger brother and friends.
We would greatly appreciate if you can contribute a donation to help my sister and my nephew during this trying time. The hardship is not only an emotional one but a financial one as well as we all know medical treatment is expensive and my nephew can receive the treatment that ultimately can save his life.
