Bryce McCarthy Memorial Fund

Hello Family, Friends, Neighbors and community! For those that don’t know, we lost our son Bryce McCarthy in a tragic accident on June 7, 2019. We were enjoying a typical fun family Friday evening at home. The whole summer was ahead of us and we were ready to enjoy every bit of it. I had just put our daughter Lyla to bed and it was time for us to spend some time playing with Bryce and our Dog Charlie in the yard. Ever so suddenly tragedy had struck and our whole entire world was turned upside down. Sadly, tragic accidents happen, they are out of God’s hands and there is no making sense of them. Despite doctors’ efforts they could not save our son. There are no words that can truly express how deeply sad we are and how much we miss our son each and every day. We understand that many of you are sad for us but we kindly ask that you try not to be sad and that you not feel sorry for us but rather celebrate Bryce and cherish all the beautiful memories along with us! We feel comfort in believing he was an angel that walked amongst us and we were chosen to be his parents. We were lucky enough to spend a short almost three years with him and for that, we will forever feel very blessed and fortunate. He is our guardian angel now. We will have sunshine every day in our heart and soul having had him in our lives and he continues to give us strength to pull through for our daughter Lyla. Bryce, your beautiful, happy spirit continues to shine radiantly every day through Lyla’s eyes and within her smile and we will carry your spirit with us always. We want to carry on your legacy and keep your happy spirit alive and therefore we have created this page. With time we have so many great ideas to honor you. We have thought to in time do a playground donation, scholarship funds, a celebratory mass and celebration of your life, an annual Flag Day birthday balloon wish for you and much more. We kindly ask that you also continue to pray for us and give us time to grieve considering the nature of these circumstances as this is still all so very painful for us. With time we will do these great things and we will celebrate Bryce always. We sincerely thank you all for the tremendous out-pour of love and continued support during this extremely difficult time. We could not pull through without you or the strength from our Guardian Angel. Bryce, you are with us always and in our hearts forever! Shine on beautiful boy!
