Bryce Miller Needs Your Support Now
Donation protected
My name is Brian Miller, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother, Bryce Miller.
Bryce is an extraordinary person whose life has been upended by cancer. He has always been a source of strength and light—a loyal friend, devoted family member, adventurous travel companion, average fisherman, award-winning sportswriter, and inspiring presence in his community. Now, he needs our support more than ever as he faces the toughest battle of his life.
Bryce's cancer diagnosis in 2023 was a devastating shock. He has faced this journey with remarkable courage, but the reality of this illness is unrelenting. He has been hospitalized at Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center since February 26, and our family is focused on keeping him as comfortable as possible through his treatment, testing, and care.
Cancer treatment is not only emotionally and physically exhausting—it also comes with an overwhelming financial burden. Mounting medical bills, ongoing treatments, medications, and daily care expenses have placed a tremendous strain on Bryce and his loved ones. Despite these collective efforts, Team Miller cannot shoulder this burden alone.
We created this GoFundMe to rally around Bryce and his caregivers, ensuring they have the resources to focus on his care rather than financial stress. Every dollar raised will go directly toward medical expenses and meeting Bryce’s needs during this difficult time.
Beyond financial support, we ask for your encouragement. Please share this campaign with your friends, family, and networks. Send Bryce messages of support and let him and his family know they are not alone.
Many of you know Bryce as a longtime sports columnist for The San Diego Union-Tribune. He was the sports editor and lead columnist for The Des Moines Register, worked with USA Today in Arlington, Va., and covered six Olympic Games. His career has been dedicated to telling the stories of others—now, it's time for us to rally around him during this most difficult chapter of his life.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity, kindness, and love. Let’s show Bryce and Team Miller that they are surrounded by support and never alone in this fight.
With gratitude,
The Miller Family
