Bryce's Medical Bills
Donation protected
The reason I made this account is because Tricare may cover most of the bills for Bryce's Surgery and Medication but not all of it, we still have to pay what is not covered. I'm not sure how much it will be exactly but anything helps. ***IF YOU WOULD RATHER SEND THROUGH CASHAPP, MY CASHAPP IS $Brittanyxoxo95
About a year ago we discovered that our son was born with a defect. The area at the front of his skull did not fuse together all the way while he was in the womb. With the opening there, it allows spinal fluid to seep through into his nasal passage and it has created a mass in his left nostril. We were told to monitor it very closely and if we see a watery like liquid (pretty much anything other than snot, mucus or boogers) he needs to be taken to the ER.
Fast forward to Tuesday, 8 Sept 2020.
Bryce's nose started to run but only from his left nostril. I then called his doctor and she told us he needed to go to the ER. When we got there they admitted him because they believe the mass might have been punctured or ruptured. They gave him antibiotics so that the puncture/rupture in the mass in his nose (full of spinal fluid) would hopefully heal on its own and the leak will slow or stop completely.
Wednesday a CT scan was done to see if there is any further action that needs to be taken.
Before the CT scan they are talking about maybe either doing a lumbar drain or possibly surgery as the very last option. They would prefer not to operate because it it's a huge surgery. They would have to pretty much scalp him in order to repair the skull and they would prefer he was older for that.
After the CT scan they have decided surgery is needed. They decided to do the Surgery next week on the 17th, he will be in the hospital for recover for at least a week after.
We Are still waiting on answers and clarification on the procedure from the neurosurgeon and ent surgeon. I will update what i know when i know it.
