Brynn’s Brain Tumor Support Fund

Hello, we are Taylor and Blair Matos. Parents of 4 year old Jake and 2 year old Brynn Matos.

On January 18th 2024 Brynn had an MRI at Cook Children’s Hospital after trying to get to the bottom of her failure to thrive weight and two neurological episodes.

We learned that she in fact had a sizeable brain tumor stemming from her optic pathways and connected to/pushing on the hypothalamus and pituitary.

She began developing hydrocephalus before the biopsy was scheduled.

After connecting with a highly regarded neurosurgeon in Memphis we jumped on a plane within 12 hours.

At the time of creating this, we are recovering in an ICU room. We likely have one more week total in Memphis before we can return home.

Funds will be transferred into our personal bank account to be used for current and future medical and travel expenses, as well as normal every day purchases.

Blair is currently on a leave of absence at work and as a commisioned sales person myself, I’m doing my best to work when I can but also be with Blair and Brynn as needed.
