Bryson Akins AAU Junior Olympics
Donation protected
Bryson started running two years ago. We never really thought about competition until this past spring. Bryson was running at school for our athletic department and started putting up some really good times. We decided to put him in a competition against other runners his age in Oklahoma. At his first event in Norman he medaled in 3 out of 4 events with a gold in the 800 meter, 1500 meter, and Silver in the 3000 meter. Since this first meet, he has competed in multiple events to include district and regional competitions in Texas. Just recently he was the silver medal winner in the 12U male pentathlon.
My wife and I are both teachers and do not make enough money to take him to the AAU Junior Olympic trials on our own. We are blessed with time this summer to take him, but now need help economically. We have always told our son that if he puts out the effort we will provide the means. Please help us uphold this bargain and get him to Virginia for the Junior Olympics.
