Life Altering Surgery

For almost eleven years Lindsay has suffered from Degenerative Disc Disease. The five discs in her lower back have slowly deteriorated, and the discs in her spine will continue deteriorating. What this means is that Lindsay has been in unbelievable pain for the better part of a decade, and it's only getting worse. The only solution that has been offered until this past year is your typical, mainstream pain medication. Lindsay is only 22 years old, and she was far too young when these medications were prescribed. This has only served to cause kidney damage. Fortunately, there is now a surgery that can be very helpful for Lindsay! 

The surgery is called a Facet Rhizotomy and unfortunately she'll be traveling out of state to receive the surgery. The cost of the surgery is expected up front, but it will cover up to 3 surgeries. What will happen is - a surgeon will go into Lindsay's spine and proceed to burn the nerve endings that are trapped between her vertebre. It will not permanently fix the problem, but it will eliminate 95% of the pain and she will be able to walk without the aid of a walker or cane once more. 

The surgery cost is 2,000 dollars. Unfortunately, she will also need funds to help afford the hotel and the travel expenses to get to her surgery. Any help would be greatly appreciated! We're trying to get her back to a normal and healthy lifestyle that every 22 year old girl should get to experience.
