Shade Structure for Katz Dog Park
Donation protected
Katz Dog Park in Dekalb was created in December of 2013 by converting an underutilized softball field into a preliminary Dog Park. The response by the community has been overwhelming (see our facebook page Katz Dog Park in Dekalb).
Unfortunately there is no shade in the Park and with the extreme heat of summer approaching dogs can overheat and possibly suffer a heat stroke without a shady area to help cool down.
We, as Friends of Katz Dog Park are hoping to raise at least $4300 to purchase a commercial 20’ x 20’ Shade Structure and donate it for use in Katz Dog Park. This structure could also be transitioned over to a larger permanent Dog Park in 2015 if all goes as planned.
Any extra funds raised could go towards a second shade structure, other amenities and/or donations to local animal shelters.
Thank You for helping with any amount you can.
