Medical Expenses for Simon Tafoya, The Miracle Man

Donation protected
On December 26th Simon was with his wife Connie Tafoya at the Dynamite Arena about to rope when he went white. Only 6 months after a heart attack and quadruple bypass surgery, he was having another heart attack. Rushed to Thompson Peak Hospital, they attempted to put stints in, but they were unsuccessful. They transferred him to Honor Health Shae where they informed Connie that he had a ruptured papillary valve and was not strong enough for open heart surgery and would not make it through the night.Against all odds, he made it through the night and the amazing doctors at Honor Health Shae came up with a crazy plan that might just save his life. They took him to the cathlab and preformed a procedure that had never been done before. They put a microclip on his ruptured valve and IT WORKED!After almost three weeks in the hospital they let him go home to heal, but he was definitely not out of the woods. On January 31st he went back into the emergency room because he wasn't feeling right. He went back to Honor Health Shae with an infection for lots of antibiotics, tests and monitoring by his doctors. After three days he go to go back home with instructions to take it easy. Two days later he had an appointment to have a echocardiogram done to see how his heart was doing. They sent him home, but called a few days later to inform us that his microclip was not working perfectly and his valve was leaking. He needed open heart surgery, and they scheduled it for February 13th.On the morning of February 9th he woke up not being able to breathe very well and knew he needed to get to the hospital. He is there now, we will add to the story as it progesses.
