BTA Charity Tennis Tournament

Put Monday 27th May in the diary for a fun charity tournament in aid of "The Well @ Lent Rise ", more details will follow but it will follow the format of our other fun tournaments where we mix everyone up , ensure everyone has a good time on court and we finish with coffee and some light refreshments.

The Well @ Lent Rise is a local charity of which Terry is a trustee. The charity provides breakfast for those children catching early morning school buses known as 'Wake-up-Wednesday'. This is followed by the 'Meeting Place' where all are welcome to enjoy home made cakes, teas, and coffees and undertake arts and crafts, all forms of needlework, crosswords or just chat at leisure. In addition to having a parish councillor in attendance, on the second Wednesday of the month there is a walk in Citizen's Advice service.

The funds raised will be used for the benefit of the participants. In the past there has been a boat trip, a pantomime outing, Taplow Court visits, a Old Time Musical Hall show and a trip to a museum, coronation and Christmas parties supplementing our weekly meetings which run throughout the year. A team of unpaid volunteers ensure the smooth running of both projects.
