Honor Daren Cameron: Scholarship and Memorial Fund

On August 6th, 2024, we suffered the profound loss of Daren Cameron. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Daren understands what a remarkable person he was. He was incredibly kind, effortlessly hilarious, devilishly handsome, and he knew the unabridged story behind every song (as long as it was before the year 2000). Even more, he was someone who loved with all his heart. When you spoke with him, you felt truly heard; if you were upset, he would be the first to share in your tears, and whenever you needed a comforting embrace, he was always there with the warmest hug imaginable.

This GoFundMe has been set up on behalf of Daren at the request of his family. They are honored to create this fund to support college scholarships for low-income students with dyslexia. Growing up, Daren struggled with reading, which impacted his confidence and abilities in school. However, as we know, he overcame these challenges through hard work and support from his family. To honor his legacy, we seek your help in raising funds that will provide crucial financial assistance to these deserving students, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their dreams.

A small portion of the funds will be allocated to Daren’s celebration of life ceremony on September 7th at Hidden Falls Gold Club, where friends and family will partake in his favorite pastime, golf. This portion will help in covering essential costs such as food and setup for his memorial.
