Allensworth Family Lost Home & Possessions In Fire

Support the healing of the Lopez family who lost everything in a brush fire that spread onto their land and within minutes burned their house and personal belongings.

The Lopez family lives in historically Black town of Allensworth in the California's Central Valley. in 1908 former slave Col. Allensworth co-founded a town for and by Black people to live, work and govern themselves. The living community in now mostly working class Latino families seeking the original vision of founder of Allensworth.

The Lopez family lost their house, immigration documents, family heirlooms and small business inventory. Two of children enrolled in college had their laptops burned. This is small list of lifetime items that make family identity and heritage.

Donations will be used to secure housing and allow for security of children and family's father to begin to rebuild his small business.
