BU Students Rebuiding After Devastating Home Fire

Hi Everyone,

We’re reaching out to you with heavy hearts on behalf of our incredible friend Sophia Bellistri. This past weekend, her and her roommate endured a devastating fire, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. While we are beyond grateful that everyone escaped the house without serious injuries, the fire has left them both, and their neighbors, without most of their belongings, especially essentials for living and school.

As Boston University students, they both strive for excellence and success academically and socially. However, this tragedy has disrupted their lives and aspirations. Our friends have always been the epitome of kindness and generosity, and their home was a cherished place for our friend group, filled with countless memories.

We are reaching out for your support as they rebuild their lives during this heartbreaking time. Your contributions, big or small, will make a significant difference in helping Sophia recover essentials, including clothing, school supplies, medications and anything else contributing to her well-being. If you’re unable to donate, please share this page with your friends and families, allowing us to reach more people who can assist. The donations will be directly sent to Sophia allowing her to replace any of their necessities as soon as possible.

We are so utterly grateful for her physical wellbeing and we hope to see her back on campus able to continue succeeding with a smile on her face.
