Steve Chestnut's No One Fights Alone
Donation protected
Steve was informed the week of July 18, 2016 that he has esophageal cancer. He was told by the doctor that he would no longer be able to work. He brings in the main income in the household, so this has put extra stress on the family. His wife, Diane, works at a daycare, but that will not cover their expenses to keep the lights on, keep a roof over their head, or even come close to covering the medical bills that will be coming in. We all know that insurance will not cover 100% of medical bills, unfortunately. We have started this page in hopes that support from our community will flood in.
Steve had a pet scan on July 21st and they found that the mass was too large to measure. Surgery cannot be done to remove the cancer until and unless they are able to shrink the mass. The doctors informed them on the 26th that he has stage 3 cancer. The fight will be long & very difficult! He will be getting a feeding tube inserted and a port put in very soon. They are putting him on a very aggressive treatment plan that will begin on August 1st.
Cancer is hard to deal with on its own, but the financial burden can be suffocating. While there may not be much we can do for him, we CAN help support him and his family financially through this difficult time in their lives. Give what you can, every little bit helps. God Bless and let us band together for #TEAMCHESTNUT !
No one fights alone.
