Tina’s Breast Cancer Journey

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tina. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

I noticed a lump in my right breast some time ago and I decided to have a mammogram. Mammogram turned into an ultrasound based on the size of the mass; following a biopsy days later. The pathology report came back positive.

I was diagnosed with two different types: Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and Invasive Lobular Carcinoma. The tumor is 77mm in size, taking up the whole upper quadrant of my right breast, which means my only option is a mastectomy.

I’m scheduled for surgery on April 22nd following reconstruction on the same day. The process is expected to take at least six months. I will know more details about my options and further treatment after surgery.

My prognosis seems hopeful and both types are treatable. They believe I’m Stage II but will know more after the mass is removed. The funds will help cover my deductible, copays, and further treatment to help with my recovery. I would also like to elect for further genetic testing to help in future prevention for my daughter, Marisa.

Jeremiah 29:11 is one of God’s promises that I can hold onto in faith knowing God has my life in the palm of his hands. As challenging as this time is for me I know I am not alone and have amazing support. All I can hope for is to have a chance at life and see my grandchildren one day. I will be more than grateful for any donation you give.
