Vet Bill For Biggie

For the past 10 years this dog has been my best friend and sometimes the only thing that I honestly cared about. He's the most loyal, protective and loving dog anyone could ask for. Last Thursday I was taking him out to use the bathroom and noticed him coughing/choking on something. He ended up spitting up a small amount of blood, it had me worried but this was the first time he's done anything like this so I was just keeping an eye on him. Saturday night I noticed him coughing again and then he ended up spitting up blood again but more than the first time. So I called a vet Sunday morning and they said that our best bet was to bring him in to be seen but that they would have to run a number of test/xrays to see what could be the issue. I told them that right now financially that could be an issue because frankly I dont have that much money.( I just had my daughter 3 months ago and for anyone who has kids knows that between formula and diapers children are not cheap). Tonight again, he was coughing and spit up even more but this time there was a large clot in the blood he spit up and I'm just to the point to where I dont know what to do. I hate asking any for anything but would rather suck up my pride than to see my animal in any kind of pain or distress. So I'm asking for help from anyone who is able to help.
