This week, a yummy dream-of-a-truck-scooter is up for auction. It is immaculate, adorable, street legal, and exactly the thing I need to haul my bubble goods around New Orleans! A rare find, this 1966 Cushman Truckster has been listed for auction with a starting bid of $6,000. With four days left and zero bids, I think this is my opportunity to score the cutiest little truck scooter of my dreams!!!

Hello, friend! I am your Bubble Lady, Linda! I am a street performer, bringing giant bubbles to parks and facilitate playtime for the public! For five years, my work has remained donation-based to keep playtime accessible to everyone! Moments of magic fortify our souls against apathy, so that we can be more loving, patient, and forgiving neighbors/parents/coworkers/humans.

In the past two years my work has grown to include selling my handmade bubble mix and wands and bringing magical bubble playtime to your special events (birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, schools, and more!).

To keep up with this growth, I have (1) moved into a larger bus (did I mention I live out of my Skoolie bus full time?!) to travel more reliably; and (2) rented a studio space to bring my larger visions for bubble-wonder-builds and community-love projects to life!!!

Imagine this: The truckster is painted a soft sea foam-green, with dual bubble machines mounted on the back, and an ice-cream truck speaker gently playing twinkly magical tunes. Zig-zagging easily through the obstacle course of bumpy New Orleans roads with a stream of bubbles following behind, your lavender-haired bubble lady arrives easily, with plenty of bubble juice and supplies to play all afternoon!!

What is the truck-scooter for? Fuel efficiency, petite-parkability, and elevating all the magic I already do! To keep making magic, I need things to be easier. I have used hand carts to lug THOUSANDS of gallons of bubble juice over the years! Quite frankly, I have pushed myself too hard in the past and I need to take gentler care of my body. This is one way to do so!

Why not get a loan? My work has always been based in giving, receiving, and trust! Also, it’s reaaaal hard to get any kind of loan as a self employed artist!

What if you get outbid in the auction? I’ve been browsing truck-scooters for years, and if I am outbid at auction, there will be more! I’m trying to jump on this one, specifically, because it is ready to go!
