Dear friends and community members,

We are reaching out to you today to ask for your help in supporting Bucky Berry, a man known for his generosity and his tireless efforts to help those in need in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.

For over 30 years, James (Bucky) has been leading the charge to fight hunger in our community, and for the last 15 years, he has led The Brent Berry Family Food Drive annual food drive in honor of his son. His goal is to fill buses and trailers with non-perishable food items, baby and hygiene products, and pre-packaged food bags, which have culminated in over a million dollars in food raised. Bucky then donates all to the Salvation Army to help those in need. In recent years he has raised food to support The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham's MLK Day of Service Food Drive

Bucky's selflessness has been a shining example for his community for many years. However, due to his current health condition of congestive heart failure, he is currently unable to continue his self-employed operation of Berry's Lawn Service. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him, and his medical bills are mounting, causing him financial struggles. As a community, we have the opportunity to rally around Bucky and offer our support during this difficult time.
