The war still rages & people still need our help.

UK HELP FOR UKRAINE, is part of the Hope and Help Together charity that supports civilian, military and medical groups by supplying vital life-saving humanitarian aid.
Who are we ?
UK HELP FOR UKRAINE is one of the largest donation and distribution hubs in the UK. Working across the Midlands counties of Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire, based in Banbury, a team of 20 Volunteers has been working since day 2 of the war in Ukraine to provide humanitarian aid directly to those affected.
What do we do that’s different ?
We actively collaborate with different groups in the UK from Wales and Scotland; locally with Hook Norton, Deddington, Oxford, Leamington Spar and many other local villages and towns.
100% of your donations go to Ukrainians affected by the war. Since the war started, we have sent ?? vehicles to Ukraine. We have a very substantial and security-tested network across Ukraine and Poland that contact us to ask for aid. These organisations range from Orphanages run by Nuns, civic leaders, representatives from civilian and volunteer combat groups and many other groups in need of help. When we get requests for aid from specific groups, we work with donors to collect or buy all that has been requested. We pack and deliver aid directly to groups in Ukraine and Poland. We do not drop off aid in large warehouses where it stays for weeks or months. We directly track donations from Banbury hub to those that need them.
How can we prove what we say is true ?
Our Facebook pages show aid being packed, delivered and unloaded by those that have asked for help. See for yourself.

We publish a regular list of items required as requests for aid have changed since the war started.
The photos and videos, on our Facebook page, of transport leaving Banbury and arriving in Poland and Ukraine, unloading and handing over essential humanitarian aid to those who desperately need it, show the vital connection between our donors and those in need of help. We know that donors want to see their gifts used quickly, effectively and with maximum positive impact.
What do we need from YOU ?
Donations are declining, but the war still rages. People are still dying and are still desperate for help and support. We need donations (see our Facebook page), but critically we need money, your money.
We have sent :
- Over 450 Tons of Aid
- 15 Articulated lorries. The average cost of sending a large lorry (20 tonnes) is £15,000.
- 60 Vans. The Average cost of sending a van including general and specialist aid (2 tonnes) is £3,500 and
- 45 Cars & 4 Ambulance. The Average cost of sending a 4x4 car on a one-way trip full of aid is £5,000. Fuel alone is £700 for a round trip for a van or car.
We have a number of “sponsors,” all of whom help with various aspects of collecting and delivering aid. But at the moment, we do not have enough cash to buy and send the aid that we have collected to those that have asked for it – WE NEED YOUR CASH –
Here are two examples of where your money/aid has gone.
Nuns in Ukraine have set up an orphanage for 90 babies and children. Through our donor network, we collected and shipped all items requested, including bedding, clothes, specialist food etc. We showed the Facebook video to one of the donors, and her face lit up – in the same way, the children’s faces’ did on the video.
With increasing combat in the Donbas region, UK HELP FOR UKRAINE was asked to support the setting up of a “field hospital.” Our donors supplied tents, sleeping bags, folding beds, breathing equipment, tourniquets, severe wound dressings, pain killers, syringes, etc. Several items came from Wales – you can see pictures of them on Facebook – they have a Welsh Dragon on them. You can also see a Ukrainian soldier speaking to camera, holding one of the boxes and saying “thank you”.
We connect, emotionally and physically, donors to those that receive their “gifts of life.”
More of what we do.
As well as the donation hub and free “pop-up shop,” we have a dedicated Ukrainian Community Centre where we offer free English lessons, help with NHS, the UK benefits system, schools and finding work.
All volunteers and donors are warmly welcomed, including an increasing number of our Ukrainian guests, who have come to the Old Debenhams Shop in Banbury to find clothes, food and other Ukrainian guests and help us with what we do.
A final plea.
Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian adults and children have no food, no water, no electricity, no medical care, and no safe place to call home!
UK HELP FOR UKRAINE will continue to respond to existing and emerging requests for vital humanitarian aid.
Your donation will help provide life-saving aid for innocent victims of war and those defending their country and liberty.
Your donation will help save lives.
Please give generously.
