I am a friend of Buddy Williams & family. I'm making this Go Fund Me account on behalf of Buddy Williams and family.

Alvin “Buddy” Williams was born on April 5, 1951 in Doraville Ga. He’s 72 years old and graduated from Cross Keys High School. Buddy and his late wife moved to Woodville in 1983. He’s continued his life in Woodville caring and helping care for his daughter Julie Williams (45) and his grandchildren. In the late 90's Buddy was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Woodville Fire Department for 6+ years. He has made a living for 50 years as a Taxidermist. Buddy loves drag racing, hunting, fishing, outdoors and most of all spending time with his grandchildren Mason 10, Mallory 9, and Brock 7.

Buddy has always worked hard his entire life to provide for himself and his family. I’ve never seen Buddy turn away anyone needing help or who was willing to work. He’s provided many people with jobs, even when he didn’t have any openings he’d always find one if someone was willing and looking for work. Now Buddy needs our help!

In July of 2021 Buddy was diagnosed with liver cancer and has continued working since when able. Unfortunately during this time he wasn’t able to work like he had due to his health constantly declining and has fell behind on some bills. His daughter Julie has been able to help in the past but now she stays full time caring for Buddy and has had to take a leave from work. They now have zero income coming in.

Two weeks ago he was sent to the hospital and told his cancer has now spread throughout his body and into his bones. Buddy was sent home with hospice care. They now have zero income, on hospice, and also no life insurance.

I’m asking anyone who is able to donate what they can so they can get caught up on utilities, stay caught up, have grocery money, and have as much as they can for funeral arrangements when it’s time for him to be called home so he doesn’t have to worry constantly about how he’s going to live the remaining part of his life and what will happen when it’s time to be laid to rest. At this point any amount helps and will be greatly appreciated.

Buddy is limited to visitors at this time due to his immune system and the fact that he mostly sleeps. If you would like to talk or visit Buddy you can contact his daughter Julie. If he’s awake and feeling well he will answer his phone.

Please keep Buddy and his family in your prayers. They appreciate all of you more than words can describe. Friendship has always been important to Buddy throughout his life.
