Buddy The Dog Has Given So Much, Now He Needs Us!

* Update: We have now found a surgeon who is willing to do the surgery for $4,000. *

Hello my name is Camille and I started this fundraiser for my  best friend, Juanita, and her 2.5 year old baby girl, Mackenzie. Their 9-year old American bulldog rottweiler is in dire need of surgery for a dislocated hip, which has him currently in immense pain, which is now impacting baby Mackenzie who cries everyday, as she wants to take her best friend out for his daily walk. Without Buddy, this family is at risk of falling into the cracks - Juanita has a history of mental health issues and is isolated - Buddy is her support doggy and is the "meaning of life".

When Mackenzie entered the world in 2019, her good friend, Buddy, the dog, was there to meet her. At the Michael Garron maternity floor he was known as a VIP (very important pup) - helping Juanita get through each and every contraction. He also helped tend to his newly born baby sister by sitting next to her baby bassinet and would bark every time he heard her cry. Ever since day one, Mackenzie and Buddy have been playing around at the local parks, going for walks, and exchanging hugs and kisses, not only with each other, but with the strangers they meet! Buddy has been a regular traveler on the TTC and York Region transit since his babyhood.  He has taken numerous photos with his transit friends.  He often "chooses" who he wishes to sit with and climbs up on the seat to make himself comfortable.

Buddy is now in need of surgery for a dislocated hip. The costs associated with this are roughly $10,000 (now $4,000). All funds will be deposited to his newly set up bank account and any leftovers will be saved for any future conditions that may arise.  The funding for this surgery is difficult for Juanita to afford since she is a single parent. Any possible donations are greatly appreciated.
