Support Bud pay for traveling expenses for kidney

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who has donated so far. It's all part of the journey for Bud and it has given us a faith that we will be able to do what we need to to get to Chicago and Bud get his transplant. I was able to talk with a social worker from the VA in Maine and a transplant coordinator from the VA in Pennsylvania (where Bud has been waiting and trying to get a transplant ) and the mission act allows veterans to recieve medical care at another facility by referral from VA for various reasons a vet may need to go out of the VA system . This does not cover traveling , lodging and expenses to a non VA facility . I did ask the social worker to please look into it and just see and she said if she gets info that will help us , she will call me . I am pretty sure we can use PALS for flight but they do not help with lodging . So please anything even 5 dollars or all adds up . And thanks again to everyone that donated and everyone that has shared . Thank you to the kind people who mailed their donations Matt and Gene and Amy and the Feckos generosity who have shown me such caring ❤️ and Bob and family ❤️ Steph for sharing and helps us so we can focus on the surgery and healing .

Hi , my name is Kim and My husband Deane (Bud) as many of you know he has chronic kidney disease and has been on dialysis for 7 years and 1 month . It's had been a long road with many ups and downs and we really didn't know if Bud would ever ger a kidney . Well finally he is preparing to get a kidney . I can't imagine what he's feeling inside. Knowing he can have a life free of dialysis and the constant physical side effects from treatments . I know it's a hard time of year for a go fund me but me and Bud need to go to Chicago for the transplant and we were told to have our bags packed and ready . It could be a week or a month they said .and Bud will be there for 2 months and I will be there too . This is a miracle for us .though it was very sudden . And it will be costly to be there that long . We will need to fly there at a moments notice pretty much and that is costly and food and lodging for 2 months . .Any little bit helps it all adds up we appreciate it more than you can know and Thank You .

Another update we are actually making out plans to go in the next week . I want to thank Dad and Carolee for their support and thank them and you all for the love and support .
