Bui Family - Home Burnt in Lahaina Wildfire
Donation protected
Hello, My name is John Bui, our family has been active pillars in the Maui community for over 30 years now. I was born and raised in Lahaina where we steadily invited our family members to move to Lahaina throughout the years. We have had many of our Uncles, Aunties, and Cousins live and visit. Members of the community as well as visitors to our islands would have regularly seen us actively throughout the streets as taxi drivers, massage therapists, or nail salon workers.
You may be most familiar with my family through my Dad with his guitar playing, humor, and his active touring the islands as the Taxi Driver for Lahaina Taxi. Unfortunately, his sister, My Aunt Hoa, along with my Cousin David, had their home burnt down during the wildfires, she was located in Front Street Apartments which as you can see through Aerial Imagery and Youtube Videos, is completely wiped off the map.

All of her possessions along with that of her Son are presumed to be completely gone. I would like to organize this fundraiser to at least get them back on their feet and help them navigate this troubling time. The money will be distributed directly to my family members impacted. It would also mean the world if you can help share our story. Any donations are not expected but would be greatly appreciated for them, any excess donations will be distributed directly back into the community.
I love my hometown of Lahaina and so does my family, we all love our little town so much and hope to be here throughout the years. The community here is filled with some of the most amazing people you could find anywhere in the world. We have always been resilient and we will rebuild. Lahaina Strong.
