Build A Better Life For My Kids Free From Abuse

Hi, my name is Emma. I’m a single mother of 2. Ages 4 & 2. I broke up with my abusive ex who has previously worked in law enforcement and now has been working as a corrections officer in a jail. He’s strangled me, suffocated me, beaten me, stolen $20,000 from me, opened credit cards in my name and maxed them out, s*xually abused me, pulled a gun out on me. The other day I reached my breaking point when he broke down my locked door in just an instant and all I could think of was that he was going to m*rder me. I went and got a temporary restraining order. My parents have always defended his actions at all costs, caring very little about the impact it had on me or the kids. Because I got this temporary restraining order, he has been suspended from his job at the jail. My parents are extremely mad about the restraining order because they don’t want him to lose his career and have said they are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure I don’t succeed at getting a long term restraining order. Because of his suspension as of this morning, they are telling me they will be going to court tomorrow to try and take my kids away from me with false claims that I don’t take care of them. This is them retaliating at me. I have always been their scapegoat child, their punching bag. But I can’t survive losing my kids, whom I do raise without much help whatsoever from their fathers. I live with my parents and ask for help sometimes because I have been drowning from all the abuse I’ve endured. And they use those times to claim that they’re the ones raising my kids. When in actuality, this is false. I support them physically and financially and seem to be the only one that cares about their emotional well being. The donations would go towards any lawyer fees needed to fight for my kids, affording to get my own place so I can get out of my parents where I am mentally abused and not supported whatsoever, a new car if mine breaks down, diapers, everyday life expenses in general. It’s an extremely high conflict and toxic environment living with my
