Support a NGO School for Underprivileged Cambodian Kids

Lotus Light Center for Community Advancement School (LLCCA School) NEEDS YOUR HELP!
This will be an on-going crowd fund to help provide support to the school. We are delighted to say we have surpassed our original target of $2200 USD! Thanks to all donors involved.
We are four English teaching volunteers currently helping out at a not-for-profit English school in a remote village in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
LLCCA School is a charitable organisation that provides free education to underprivileged children (aged 5-13 years) living in the Speankaek village.
The school is completely run and reliant on sponsors and donations - this is needed for: teaching and learning supplies, Khmer teacher salaries and for the school’s general upkeep and utilities.
Sarath and his wife Sreang (two beautiful souls) founded the school and live onsite. They have done everything they can to make learning English a possibility to some of the poorest families in their village and in neighbouring villages. This is essential as majority of the public/local schools do not have the resources to provide English classes.
English classes provided by the LLCCA are more than vital for this community, as they provide better opportunities for the children. Most of whom are required to start working at a very young age to help support their families, which often means they are unable to even graduate from the Khmer public schools. The free English lessons provided help create job opportunities for the children and provides them with the best shot at improving their circumstances.
In passing conversation - Sarath told us they were trying to get a library installed at the back of the school, but they didn’t have enough money to make it happen. They require funds to convert an existing structure into a comfortable space for the children to read books at their own leisure.
Repairs are required for the library roof, the purchase of tables, chairs, bookshelves, the acquisition of additional books and to help pay for the local English speaking Khmer teachers that work at the school.
We are looking to raise $2200 USD to make that happen and WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
Sarath and Sreang don’t know about this crowdfund and we would like to surprise them once we have reached our target. Any donations - big or small would be greatly appreciated and any money left over, or greater than the target amount, will further assist with the day-to-day running of the school.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any donation you are able to send. Please share the link with anyone that might also be interested in contributing and we will keep you updated on the library’s progress. YOU ARE AMAZING!!!
A massive thank you from: Frazer Alexander, Natasha Johnson, Camryn Reiter and Nathalia Ribeiro.
