The Story of Salvaged Worlds

Hi, I’m Andrea, founder of Salvaged Worlds, a dream turned mission to create a sustainable sanctuary where people can reconnect with nature, themselves, and each other. Nestled in the temperate rainforests of Galicia, Spain, this 11,000-square-meter plot of land is more than just a piece of earth—it’s the foundation for a movement rooted in resilience, regeneration, and hope.

Why This Matters

The world feels heavy right now. Climate disasters are worsening, communities are fracturing, and so many of us feel burned out trying to keep up with systems that don’t serve us. I believe we can build a different way—starting here. Salvaged Worlds will be a space where the land heals as we heal, where the soil is restored and fertile, where food forests thrive, and where people find rest and purpose.

This project is deeply personal. As an immigrant woman of color, I’ve seen the transformative power of community. I’ve seen how connection can restore us, how care can rebuild us, and how hope can move us forward. Salvaged Worlds is my way of extending that vision to everyone—a place where sustainability isn’t just a concept but a way of life.

What We’re Building

A Regenerative Food Forest: Native fruit trees and shrubs to nourish both the land and the community.
Eco-Friendly Living Spaces: A restored 200-year-old central hub and future tiny homes made from reclaimed materials.
Spaces for Connection: Meditation towers, outdoor cooking spaces, and camper van areas designed to foster community and reflection.
A Model for Change: Every step of this journey will be shared open-source, so others can replicate and adapt our learnings.

How the Funds Will Be Used

This first round of fundraising will cover:

Finalizing the land purchase
Cleaning and restoring the well
Initiating the restoration of the central hub
Planting the first round of fruit trees and food-bearing shrubs
Creating infrastructure to welcome the first visitors and collaborators

The total goal is $60,000. Every single contribution—whether it’s $5 or $5,000—brings us closer to making this vision a reality.
