Build a well as a sadaqah jariyah

Many of you who know me will know that my grandfather unfortunately passed away 6 days ago. My grandfather was a beloved man to many who spent his days here in an exemplary manner, he was the kindest of men who had the most radiant smile. My grandfather is missed dearly by our family, and by our entire community who found that his generosity had no limits.

I’m starting this fundraiser and raising money to build a well as a sadaqah jariyah in his name. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.” ( Muslim). The wells built (pictured above) provide a community of families clean water for up to 10 years. This will be done through the Educare project, who have built wells for the late grandparents of a friend of mine, who confirmed that they received proof through pictures. The Educare project have also confirmed that they are able to maintain and fix wells when necessary.

This sadaqah jariyah will not only benefit my late grandfather inshaAllah, but will also benefit everyone who is able to donate towards it. Please donate if you are able to, no amount is too little or too much.

Hold your family close and dear, and cherish them for as long as you are still able to.
